Welcome! Our first post!

Welcome everyone to our very first post!  We are super excited to share our thoughts and experiences with you.  First of all, introductions: we are Candice and Lesley - best friends that love getting in the car and taking a trip through the beautiful Virginia countryside - sometimes literally over the river and through the woods - to seek out all of the breweries, wineries, cideries and distilleries that the state has to offer.  We have been to over 100 of the over 200 wineries in the state, several breweries and a few distilleries.  We have been talking about blogging about our experiences for a couple of years and finally decided to just do it. 
In this blog, we will share our road trip adventures, our best advice for trip planning, our top picks from each place we visit, and more.  We are amazed by the number of passionate, hard working people, taking local crops to produce top notch adult beverages of all kinds.  We want to encourage you all to seek out these places for yourselves and enjoy the fruits of their labor.  Above all, this is a celebration of Virginia agriculture and the delicious results that come from our soil.
